Vanna White just stepped up to give an unforgettable surprise to a “Wheel Of Fortune” contestant who is working on the frontlines as a nurse amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

On Thursday’s episode of the game show, which was taped before social distancing guidelines were put in place, contestant Arzo Mehdavi was the big winner, walking away with over $56,000 in prizes and cash. Though she won lots of money on the show, Mehdavi is still working as a nurse in Hayward, California, and her job has gotten much more intense since the pandemic started.

Knowing that Mehdavi is working hard on the frontlines to fight this pandemic, White decided to surprise her by video calling into her contestant watch party to congratulate her on her win and to thank her for all she is doing.

“If I can bring her any kind of joy for all the hard work and dedication she has given to so many, I would do it a thousand times,” White, 63, told People. “It’s just overwhelming what they are doing, so it makes me feel so good to give back just a touch. It’s nothing for what they do for us.”

She went on to say that this was just her small way of showing her gratitude for all the healthcare workers valiantly fighting coronavirus.

“I want to thank each and every one of them for their dedication and hard work and putting themselves out there,” White concluded. “Everyone from the medical professionals, the first responders, the essential retail workers, the delivery people, the restaurant workers, the teachers, just everyone. I’m so grateful that they are there for us.”

For Mehdavi, appearing on “Wheel of Fortune” was a dream come true that has helped her get through this difficult time.

[Being on Wheel] is such a happy memory for me, and waiting for the show to air has given me something fun to look forward to,” she explained. “Since I was a little girl playing the board game where you put the paper behind the plastic puzzle board.”

We would like to thank Mehdavi and all other healthcare workers for all that they are doing right now!
