Prince Harry may finally be having second thoughts about “Megxit,” as he’s reportedly been telling friends that he still can’t believe “how his life has turned upside down” in recent months.

Harry and his wife Meghan Markle officially stepped down as senior members of the royal family on March 31, and they have since moved to Los Angeles, California, where they are currently looking for a mansion to buy. However, a source close to Harry said that he might be starting to have some regrets about ditching his family and his entire life in the United Kingdom to move to Hollywood.

“He has been telling friends that he still can’t believe this has happened,” the source told the U.K. Telegraph. “He can’t believe his life has been turned upside down.”

The insider went on to say that Harry is missing life in the Army, as he had to give up his military appointments when he left the royal family.

“Harry has told friends he is really missing the Army as well his military appointments,” the source said. “He misses the camaraderie of being in the forces. He was in a happy place when he was serving in the Army, then he met Meghan and since then life has been great. But I don’t think he foresaw things turning out quite as they did.”

Though Harry seems to be having second thoughts about everything right now, the insider claimed that he “doesn’t blame Meghan” for all of the changes in his life, adding that “there is just a sense that he might have been better protected if he was still in the Army.”

Harry has talked often about how much he loved serving in the military, saying that life in the military was as “normal as it’s going to get.”

“I’m one of the guys. I don’t get treated any differently,” he added of his time in the service, according to Daily Mail.

While Harry has had to give up his entire family and everything he knows for this move, his wife Meghan has gotten to return to her hometown of L.A., so this undoubtedly has not been nearly as hard on her. She’s likely back in the city where she grew up, free to resume her career in Hollywood that she gave up upon her marriage. It remains to be seen how life in L.A. will agree with her husband going forward.
