Aging is a difficult process for many because even as our bodies get older, there’s still a young spirit inside us all that is eager to get free. Christopher Hopkins, better known as The Makeover Guy, knows this all too well. That’s why he loves giving makeovers to women over the age of 45, helping them look as young on the outside as they feel on the inside!

Karen is a 65 year-old grandmother from Sioux Falls, South Dakota who found herself feeling much younger than the woman she saw looking back at her in the mirror. Wanting to show this to the world, she decided to travel all the way to Christopher’s salon in Minneapolis, Minnesota to enlist his help.

“I’m 65, but on the inside, I always still feel like I’m 35 until I look in the mirror and go, ‘Whoa…I have aged,'” Karen explained as she arrived for her makeover. “As we age women get a little critical of our own appearance and I think I’m looking for affirmation that ‘I still got it’ at my age.”

As soon as Christopher saw Karen, he knew exactly what to do with her! He ended up cutting her hair shorter, making her into a blonde bombshell. By the time he was done with her, Karen looked more like a movie star than she did a grandmother. One social media user even said she looked like the old Hollywood movie star Tippi Hedren, and we would have to agree!

When Karen saw the results of her makeover, she couldn’t believe her eyes.

“I feel amaze-zing and I think the ‘zing’ is the appropriate part,” she said excitedly.

Social media users thought she looked beautiful as well.

“Va-Va-Voom!!! Girl, you got ‘IT’ for sure!” one user commented, with another adding, “Gorgeous!!! That smile is beautiful too, and she’s showing it off a lot more after the new look. That’s what you love to see, that extra confidence radiating out!”

“She was pretty before, but you added an incredible amount of sophistication that I believe she will be able to keep up,” a third user wrote. “Nice work.”
