Prince Harry has been caught in yet another apparent lie, as sources are saying that his wife Meghan Markle started working on her latest Netflix project with David Furnish back in 2018, long before stepping down as a senior royal.

Page Six reported that a source said that Meghan was in active discussions with Netflix while she was still a senior working member of the royal family, and still living behind Palace walls. This directly contradicts what Harry claimed back in March, when he said that he and Meghan had never thought of teaming up with streamers such as Netflix and Spotify until they left the royal family last year.

During their interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry claimed that their multi-million dollar deals with the streaming services were “never part of the plan.”

“That was suggested by somebody else by the point of where my family literally cut me off financially, and I had to afford security for us,” he said.

Harry went on to claim that he and Meghan were able to start a new life thanks to the millions left to him by his late mother, Princess Diana.

“I’ve got what my mum left me, and without that, we would not have been able to do this,” he said.

Harry then alleged that during the pandemic, a friend said, “‘What about streamers?’” while Meghan added, “We genuinely hadn’t thought about it before.”

“We hadn’t thought about it,” Harry continued. “So, there were all sorts of different options. And look, from my perspective, all I needed was enough money to be able to pay for security to keep my family safe.’”

However, the source said that the new Netflix series was originally just one of a number of one-off advocacy projects that Meghan started work on while a working member of the royal family. Other such projects were her charity cookbook to raise funds for the victims of the London Grenfell fire and the issue of British Vogue that she edited.

Furnish even admitted that he and Meghan had worked on this project for quite awhile, writing on Instagram this week: “I am delighted that we are finally able to announce this exciting animated series … The team collaborating on the series are first class, and @netflix are the perfect partner.”

Harry and Meghan have made a series of explosive claims since leaving the British royal family, with many of them being called into question.
