While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have appeared to be happy with their life in California so far, one royal expert thinks that Harry may soon change his tune once their “honeymoon phase” comes to an end.

“Harry and Meghan seem to think they can co-exist in these two worlds – the world of British royals and American celebrity,” said royal expert Duncan Larcombe, according to The Express.

“Harry is loving the American life now – but he’s still in the honeymoon phase,” he added. “I think coming back and seeing his brother, especially against the very moving backdrop of a memorial for their mother, will maybe make him question what he’s given it all up for.”

Harry and Meghan shocked the world last year when they stepped down as senior royals and moved across the world to California. A rift then formed between them and the rest of the royal family after they gave a series of interviews that were not flattering towards the royals.

Last week, Harry was reunited with his brother Prince William when he returned to the United Kingdom for the unveiling of a statue dedicated to their late mother Princess Diana at Kensington Palace.

“Today, on what would have been our mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better,” the brothers said in a joint statement on the mourning of the unveiling. “Every day, we wish she were still with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen forever as a symbol of her life and her legacy.”

Afterwards, sources said that William and Harry have started the healing process with one another.

“William and Harry spent the morning before the statue unveiling looking through old keepsakes, notes from Diana and bonding,” a source told US Weekly. “They have absolutely turned a new page in their relationship and have started the healing. Everyone around them was thrilled to see how close they were on the day of the statue unveiling.”

It remains to be seen whether or not Harry has regrets about what he’s done, and if he is able to mend fences with William.
