Last week, the singer Britney Spears gave a shocking piece of testimony in court as she begged a judge to let her out of her conservatorship. On Monday, Britney’s younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears broke her silence to address the testimony.

Jamie Lynn became emotional at times on her Instagram Stories as she talked about how “proud” she is of Britney for “using her voice.”

“The only reason I haven’t [spoken] before is because I felt like until my sister was able to speak for herself and say what she felt she needed to say publicly, that it wasn’t my place and it wasn’t the right thing to do,” Jamie Lynn began, according to Page Six. “But now that she’s very clearly spoken and said what she needed to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feel like I need to say.”

“I think it’s extremely clear since the day I was born that I’ve only loved, adored and supported my sister. I mean, this is my freaking big sister, before any of this bulls–t,” she added. “I don’t care if she wants to run away to a rainforest and have a zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has so many times before, because I have nothing to gain or lose either way.”

“This situation does not affect me either way because I am only her sister, who is only concerned about her happiness,” Jamie Lynn concluded.

Britney spoke out last Wednesday to testify about the conservatorship that has allowed her father Jamie, as well as a team of other conservators, to control her personal life and assets, namely her estimated $60 million fortune, since it began in 2008.

“He loved the control [he had] to hurt his own daughter — 100,000 percent,” Britney, 39, claimed of Jamie.

Britney went on to say that she wants to have a baby with her boyfriend Sam Asghari but the conservatorship will not allow it.

“I have an [IUD] in my body right now that won’t let me have a baby, and my conservators won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out,” she claimed. “I feel ganged up on. I feel bullied and I feel left out and alone.”
