Earlier this week, we reported that former “Fuller House” star Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli had jetted off to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico after serving their respective prison sentences for their roles in the college admissions scandal.
Now, new photos have emerged of the couple on their vacation, and they seem to be having a blast.
Daily Mail obtained photos showing Loughlin and Giannulli downing shots and partying poolside with their friends. Loughlin was spotted lounging poolside on a subbed while her husband took a dip in the pool. Later on, Giannulli was seen downing shots with their friends on a terrace. He also enjoyed some time playing golf at a nearby green.
A source close to the couple said that “they were excited about the trip,” adding that the couple “flew to Cabo [San Lucas] with friends” and that “it [was] their first trip in a long time.”
Loughlin and Giannulli had to ask a judge for permission to take this trip, and their request was granted last month, much to the dismay of social media users.
“White privilege at its best,” one person tweeted, with another adding, “Sounds about white.”
“Nothing makes their day more bright than waking up white,” someone else said, with a fourth person writing, “It must be delightful to commit crimes and then do whatever you would like. Money is just spooky like that.”
“As if we needed one more reminder of the two systems of ‘justice’ in this country: Lori Loughlin and her husband have been allowed to vacation in Mexico,” added another social media user. “What a surprise that wealthy white people with recent felonies and incarceration get a pass to leave the country for vacation.”
Loughlin and Giannulli pled guilty last year to charges related to them allegedly paying $500,000 in bribe money to have their two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither girl had ever rowed before.
Loughlin served two months in prison for her role in the college admissions scandal, and she was released at the end of December. Her husband served five months behind bars and was released at the end of April.
