Anna Faris is a Hollywood actress best known for starring on the television show “Mom,” and she was married to Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt from 2009 to 2018. They share an 8 year-old son named Jack, and fans were stunned when news of their split broke.

In a recent episode of her podcast “Anna Faris Is Unqualified,” Faris opened up about her divorce and how she feels about it years later.

“For me, I think after every breakup, at some point I realize that there were a lot of things I ignored that I really shouldn’t have,” she said, according to Fox News. “In hindsight, it felt like my hand was forced. I don’t think it was ever an independent decision.”

Faris went on to admit that she never opened up about the struggles she was facing with Pratt.

“I think it stunted me in a lot of ways,” the former Scary Movie star explained. “One of them being that I never talked about any issues, so to the people, even who I was closest to, I’m sure things were more transparent with my relationship with Ben [Indra], but with Chris, I think that we both protected that imagery even within our close circles.”

Faris was previously married to Ben Indra from 2004 until 2008.

Later in this episode, someone called in to talk about wanting to call off her engagement before the wedding, a sentiment that Faris supported.

“I really feel like calling off an engagement is a smarter, stronger, braver move than what I did,” Faris said, though she notably didn’t clarify which relationship made her feel that way. “Which was like, well, I guess everyone is expecting this, so let’s just go through with it.”

Faris is currently getting ready to get married for a third time to her fiancé and Overboard cinematographer Michael Barrett, but they keep their relationship private. Pratt has gone on to marry again to Katherine Schwarzenegger, with whom he recently had a daughter.

These days, Faris and Pratt are focusing on co-parenting their son Jack.

“What Chris and I try to do is to communicate openly,” Faris told Women’s Health back in 2018. “We reiterate that there aren’t rules to this. We have a lot of love and friendship, and our big goal is to protect Jack. I cherish my family, my close friends, my child — that makes the rest of it worth it.”
