Suzanne Somers of “Three’s Company” fame has announced that she has sold her Palm Springs, California compound so that she can move to a “sexy” new home with Alan Hamel, her husband of 44 years.
Somers, 74, and Hamel, 84, told The New York Post that they will be staying in the home until September while they turn their next luxurious home into an ecological oasis nearby.
“We’re using this new construction as a new opportunity [to make] everything as green as possible,” Hamel said of their next home. “Even though I am not one of those ‘greeniacs,’ we’re making sure the air quality is balanced and perfect, and even the drywall doesn’t have all those chemicals.”
The couple are also planning to install solar power, an organic garden, and other eco amenities. Somers chimed in to joke that “gun mounts everywhere” months after a naked intruder wandered into her home while she was doing a Facebook Live show, an incident that we reported on.
Somers went on to say that though there will be less space for family members that visit, “We’re going to give parties, it’s a party house, a very sexy house.”
As for their current home in Palm Springs, Somers said, “It sold because I finally let it go — emotionally, spiritually and physically. It was not the right home anymore.”
Somers shocked the world last month when she revealed that she and Hamel have sex at least three times in one day, and that was before noon.
“At this stage of life, most people think that’s over the hill. What time is it, noon? I had sex with him three times so far today,” Somers said of her 84 year-old husband while appearing on Heather Dubrow’s World podcast on PodcastOne.
“God, our relationship has always been amazing,” she continued. “But now that our kids are raised and it’s just me and Al, and we paid for the tuition, we paid for the weddings and helped them get their start — now it’s just us. Man, are we having fun.”
Somers then insisted that sex is not the only secret behind her long-lasting marriage, however.
“I think you get in relationships because you want attention,” she explained. “We give each other a lot of attention all the time. I compliment him all day long. It’s not phony. I just look at him. He was walking down from the bedroom this morning and I was walking up from the kitchen and he was in Bermuda shorts and no shirt.”
“My husband’s 84,” Somers continued. “He looks like [how] Steve McQueen used to look. He looks amazing. He works out. He’s got big biceps. And I said, ‘God, you’re so gorgeous.’ Well, that stays with him for the day. And we give each other a lot of attention.”
