During her decades-long career in Hollywood, Jane Fonda has kissed some of the most dashing leading men out there, but it is still her first kiss that stands out to her as her best one.

While appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday night, Fonda opened up about her first kiss, saying that it happened with actor James Franciscus while performing summer stock in Hyannis Port.

“He walked me out to the end of a pier and he kissed me,” Fonda recalled. “The stars began to whirl and the pier began to shake, and my knees gave way and I slid down to a pile at his feet.”

“I never had a kiss like that ever since,” she added.

Fallon was blown away by the story, saying, “Holy moly, I’ve never heard a story like that. Oh, my God I feel like I had my first kiss.”

This comes after Fonda, 83, told Harper’s Bazaar’s that she doesn’t want to be in a “sexual relationship” again.

“One of the painful things that I’ve realized by 80—I don’t even know how old I am—83, and single now. What I’ve had to really think about is that I’m not really capable [of intimacy],” she said. “It’s not them. It’s me. If a guy had come along and said, ‘Come on, Fonda, show up,’ I would have run away scared.”

Fonda added that she had been “attracted to men who never would have done that to me because they couldn’t necessarily show up themselves.”

“I didn’t know that at the time, but now I know. I don’t think I can do anything about it now, but that’s the truth,” she said.

“I don’t want to be in a relationship, a sexual relationship, again. I don’t have that desire,” Fonda added.

Just because she doesn’t want to be in a sexual relationship again, however, doesn’t mean Fonda doesn’t fantasize about it. She said that she still fantasizes about meeting “a professor or a researcher, somebody in that line who is really capable of loving, of cherishing a woman, so that I could test myself and see if I could show up.”

“I think maybe now I could, but the problem is that, like a man, I would want a younger man,” she admitted. “Isn’t that awful? It’s a thing about skin. I would want a younger man, and I’m too vain.”
