Things just got a whole lot worse for Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged former madam of the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as she has just been hit with two additional sex crime charges by prosecutors.

CNBC reported that the new charges accuse Maxwell, 59, of sex trafficking conspiracy and sex trafficking of a minor. Prosecutors revealed the new charges in letter filed on Monday, with the new indictment both lengthening the timeline of the alleged conspiracy and adding a fourth victim.

“Between approximately in or about 1994 and in or about 2004, Ghislaine Maxwell, the defendant, facilitated Jeffrey Epstein’s access to minor victims by, among other things, inducing and enticing, and aiding and abetting the inducement and enticement of, multiple minor victims. Victims were groomed and/or abused at multiple locations,” the court documents state. “The victims were as young as 14 years old when they were groomed and abused by Maxwell and Epstein, both of whom knew that certain victims were in fact under the age of 18.”

Maxwell was arrested last July on charges related to her allegedly grooming young girls for sex with Epstein, and sometimes taking part in the abuse herself. She has been remanded to federal custody until her trial, which is scheduled for this coming July, after a judge deemed her to be a significant flight risk given her immense wealth and international connections.

The former British socialite’s attorneys have long claimed that she is being kept in horrific conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

“While her weight may currently be fairly consistent, she had lost over 15 pounds, and she is sustaining hair loss,” Maxwell’s attorney Bobbi Sternheim wrote in a letter to Judge Alison Nathan back in December.

The lawyer went on to allege that Maxwell has been kept in isolation and has not been given access to education and leisure programs, movies, religious services, among other opportunities.

“It is obvious that Ms. Maxwell is bearing the brunt of BOP incompetence,” Sternheim wrote, adding that the MDC has “imposed extraordinarily onerous conditions of constraint on Ms. Maxwell to avoid the catastrophic consequences of negligence occurring at the MCC that resulted in the death of Jeffrey Epstein.”

Sternheim was referring to the fact that Epstein committed suicide in prison last year while awaiting trial on sex crime charges of his own.
