Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey is set to air in just a few hours, but Queen Elizabeth will not be staying up to watch it.

Insiders close to the 94 year-old Queen told The Times of London that she will not “stay up and watch the interview,” adding that she will instead keep calm and carry on.

“What should Monday really be about? Children going back to school, the effectiveness of the vaccine program — these are the big issues the royal family wants to focus on, not news about the circus that is Oprah and all things Sussex,” one source said.

Instead of watching the interview, the Queen will be briefed on it on Monday morning during breakfast by a senior aide. Sources said that the royal family believes that Meghan and Harry are undermining the work of the monarchy, and they have left the Queen feeling “cheesed off.”

“The mood in the family is: can everyone just shut the hell up and can we just get on with the day job,” one senior insider said.

Other sources warned that Meghan and Harry are playing a “high stakes” game if they plan on going after the royal family, indicating that reports that Meghan bullied her aides are only the beginning.

“They are playing with fire, it’s very high stakes because there’s a lot that could come out in the wash that hasn’t been told,” a source insisted.

Another source added that when it comes to Meghan, “the actual worst incidences haven’t come out.”

“There are some harrowing stories to tell. I’ve had some teary conversations with people this week,” the source said.

The royal family released a statement earlier in the week about the bullying allegations, saying, “We are clearly very concerned about allegations in The Times following claims made by former staff of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Accordingly our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article.”

Meghan fired back by calling this a “calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation,” indicating that she believes the royal family is trying to discredit her before her tell-all interview with Oprah, which is set to air on Sunday.
