Arlene is woman from Alabama who wanted to look more feminine and give herself a more romantic vibe for her husband. Though she was terrified to get a full-on makeover, she decided to take a leap of faith and travel all the way to Minneapolis, Minnesota so that she could visit the salon of “The Makeover Guy” himself Christopher Hopkins.

Christopher specializes in giving women over the age of 45 a new lease on life with his incredible makeovers.

”The whole mission is to uplift behavior through beauty,” Christopher said in the trailer video for his YouTube channel. “How you present yourself: how you speak, how you walk, how you talk, how you present yourself to the world.”

While Arlene was scared before her makeover, she was put at ease as soon as she met Christopher.

“You’re ready for a change?” he asked her, to which she immediately replied, “Get rid of those bangs.”

“Those bangs” were Arlene’s biggest insecurity, as she had been dealing with them for a long time.

“A lady who cut my hair once told me it looked like a tent… So we need to get rid of the tent,” Arlene explained.

Arlene was shocked when Christopher told her he wanted to give her strawberry red hair to match her skin tone.

“Alright, so we’ll stick with what you always had!” he said sarcastically when she protested.

“You really do this all the time,” Arlene responded with a laugh.

After some back and forth, Christopher and Arlene agreed that she would get blonde highlights with a very slight touch of red. When Arlene started to see the results, however, she was doubtful about her new look.

“No I think it looks really pretty, and I understand your concern, but it’s 1000% better and it will be beautiful,” Christopher assured her.

By the time the makeover was fully complete, however, Arlene was a huge fan of it!

“I LOVE it,” she exclaimed enthusiastically. “I love the color and I love the cut. From just the little bit that I wrote down on the sheet, Christopher just took it and went with it and he knew exactly what I wanted.”
