Last month, fans of the Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, who were married from 2000-2005, went crazy over the sexy scene the former spouses had together while taking part in the Fast Times at Ridgemont High virtual table read.

On Thursday night, while appearing on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey revealed that even he got a kick out of the scene.

In the interview with Cohen, McConaughey opened up about whether he could feel the “sexual tension” at the table read.

“Could I feel the heat through the screen of Brad? So palpable. Yeah, it was so palpable,” McConaughey said as he laughed jokingly.

“No, it was — I noticed that after — that’s what a lot of the topics were about that, or about them,” he added. “No, I actually didn’t notice anything through the screen, but that made for a good topic the next day.”

Entertainment Tonight reported that the virtual table read, which took place on September 17 as a fundraiser for Sean Penn’s CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), featured Pitt, Aniston, and McConaughey as well as other A-list stars like Julia Roberts, Jimmy Kimmel, Dane Cook, and Shia LaBeouf.

Fans could not get enough of one particularly spicy scene between Pitt and Aniston, and it quickly went viral.

Cook, who put this table read together, said afterwards that reuniting Pitt and Aniston was not intentional.

“I wish I could say that was my plan all along,” he said with a laugh, adding that the reunion simply happened as the table read came together.

However, Cook still could understand the level of interest that Pitt and Aniston’s reunion garnered.

“They’re fascinating people, and also because of the level of talent and philanthropy, when you have fascinating figures like that, of course you want to see them together,” the comedian explained. “That’s the magic, right? You want to see that spark.”

After their divorce in 2005, Pitt would go on to remarry actress Angelina Jolie, while Aniston would remarry actor Justin Theroux. Since splitting from Jolie and Theroux, Pitt and Aniston have openly rekindled a friendship, and fans could be forgiven for hoping that a romance may bloom again between them in the future.
