Hollywood star Sharon Stone just spoke out to say that physical looks really do matter, despite what people say.

“You don’t even realize how much [looks] matter until they start to go,” Stone told the Telegraph, adding that it’s a “big, fat stupid lie if anyone says that they don’t.”

The 62 year-old Basic Instinct star remains disciplined about maintaining her trimmed physique, despite the coronavirus pandemic. She said that her workout routine involves “30 squats a day, and lift[ing] these 7-pound lead balls when I’m watching TV, just because I can’t get to the gym these days,.”

In this new interview, Stone said she felt vindicated by the #MeToo movement after years of being labeled as “difficult” or “hard to work with.” She specifically remembered one director who “asked me to sit on his lap every day to receive direction.”

She also recalled a male actor in the cast of the 1984 film Irreconcilable Differences, who once yelled in reference to her on a crowded set, “‘Would you get out of the f—king way? I can’t even see her tits!”

Stone has mellowed out as she has gotten older, however, and she even had kind words for President Donald Trump.

“Actually, I have empathy for him,” she said of the president. “I think he’s had some childhood trauma.”

“I look at this man and it feels to me like whatever his traumas are, he is torturing himself and hurting himself. And it’s affecting so many people that are coming out in support [of him], with Nazi masks and all that stuff,” Stone continued. “Those are also people who have a heartbreaking level of internal rage, and that rage comes from feeling so insecure and so hurt.”

This comes weeks after Stone made headlines by posting a bizarre video amidst the protests over the death of George Floyd in which she urged her fans to make “safe rooms” in their bathrooms.

“We’re in the middle of a riot and if you are anywhere where you feel unsafe in your home, this is what I want you to do. We’re going to make a safe room for you,” she said in the video. “Probably the safest bet that you have might be your bathroom because you have maybe the least windows and you’re the most tucked in there.”
