Spring is finally here, and that means millions of people are getting back in their gardens again preparing for their flowers to bloom!
One of the best parts of having a garden full of flowers is watching birds and butterflies fly from plant to plant. My personal favorite bird to watch in the garden is the hummingbird, which is brightly-colored, quick-moving, and known for the tiny humming sound it makes!

There are currently 40 great plants known for attracting hummingbirds to the garden, but we’ve compiled our top five for you to check out!

Bee Balm

Often coming in at three to four feet high, this flower is known for it’s vibrant shades of red, orange, pink and purple. Hummingbirds can’t get enough of it, and neither can we!
Scarlet Sage

This red flower is known to attract humans and hummingbirds alike!
Trumpet Flower

Known for it’s resemblance to the eponymous musical instrument, this flower is a real beauty. However, we must warn you of it’s “invasive” properties that can see it overpower an entire area. You have to keep an eye on this plant!
Petunia

This is one of the most popular flowers in the U.S., and it can come in gorgeous shades of purple, pink, white and countless other variations. Their also full of nectar that hummingbirds see as delicious treats!
Columbine

Known for it’s bell-like blossoms, this flower is easy to grow as it can tolerate a variety of different soil and geographic climates. Humans will love this flower just as much as hummingbirds do!
