Will Carroll, a drummer for the heavy metal band Death Angel, is speaking out this week to claim that he went to hell and met Satan while in a coma due to COVID-19.

Fox News reported that back in March, the 47 year-old drummer spent two weeks comatose on a ventilator in critical condition at the California Pacific Medical Center after returning from a European tour. This week, he’s speaking out for the first time about what being in a coma was like for him, claiming he was scolded for sloth by a female devil who turned him into a “Jabba the Hutt-like-monster” that vomited blood until he had a heart attack.

Carroll recalled that when he awoke from the coma on March 30, there were “tubes coming in and out of me, and there was a nurse right there.”

“My first words were, ‘Am I still in hell?’” he recounted. “She ignored me.”

Carroll went on to allege that the time he spent in hell has caused him to turn his life around. He has given up hard alcohol and smoking marijuana, only occasionally self-medicating with a hard cider and marijuana edible. The musician also said that being as close to death as he was has caused him to feel like he has been reborn.

“I’m still going to listen to satanic metal, and I still love Deicide and bands like that,” Carroll explained. “As far as for my personal life and my experience of what I went through, I don’t think Satan’s quite as cool as I used to.”

In addition, Carroll has developed a newfound belief in a higher power after this experience, as he believes prayers from his family and friends is what helped him beat the coronavirus.

“I’m still going to listen to satanic metal, and I still love Deicide and bands like that,” Carroll said. “As far as for my personal life and my experience of what I went through, I don’t think Satan’s quite as cool as I used to.”
