It takes a lot of guts to audition for the singing competition “The Voice,” and even many adults can’t muster up the courage to do it.

That’s why when 13 year-old Abu took the stage to audition for “The Voice Belgium,” the judges and the crowd were ready to give him credit for trying but also encourage him to come back when he’s older. They were never expecting a voice like this to come out of his mouth!

Abu seemed a bit nervous when he walked onstage, and though the judges could not see him, the audience feared the worst. However, as soon as the music started to play, Abu’s confidence grew in a flash and he immediately blew everyone away!

Abu chose to perform the song “My Heart Will Go On” by the legendary singer Celine Dionne. This is a challenging song for any singer, much less a 13 year-old! As soon as Abu began singing, judges Josje Huisman and Laura Tesoro began to smile, and it was clear they wanted him on their team.

It wasn’t long before all three judges hit their buzzers and swirled their chairs around. They could not hide their surprise when they saw that the beautiful voice they were hearing was coming from a little boy!

Abu performed the rest of the song masterfully, and nobody could deny just how talented he was.

When Abu finally finished, judge Sean Dhondt ran up to the stage and sat down cross-legged in front of the boy, showing him just how amazed he was by his skills. He then gave the child a high-five before running back to his seat.

It’s clear this boy is going to go far in the music world! Check out his audition below, and SHARE this story so your friends and family can see it as well!
