This horse wasn’t horsing around. One California horse is being dubbed a hero after it quite literally ran into the fire to save its fellow horses from being burned up in one of the SoCal wildfires.

CBS Evening News got the footage of one of the horses being lead into a trailer when it turned around and ran back to the foothills to save two confused horses caught in the chaos.

The network reported that multiple horses and small animals were led to safety. Unfortunately, a 28-year-old mare needed to be euthanized on scene after breaking her two front legs from running away from the fire.
