A woman recently conjured up an elaborate plan to avoid paying a $40 excess baggage charge and she almost got away with it!

Honestly, airlines are anything but accommodating when it comes to — well just about anything these days.

Travel writer Rebecca Andrews, faked being pregnant in order to get around paying the fee. On Friday, Andrews published the experience on “Escape.” She wrote how she decided to “fight the system” to avoid paying the extra fee enforced by Jetstar which is a low-cost Australian Airline. Sounds like Spirit Airlines, huh?

She said the airline is famous for canceling and delaying flights and is “inflexible with check-in times.” What airline isn’t? Although, she said, “Their staff [wanders] around with scales at the boarding gate, so you can’t sneak things into your luggage at the last minute because they’ll definitely re-weigh your bags.”

Kinda messed up.

Andrews wore a leotard, jeans, sweater and jacket she secured a laptop down her back and then put the charger wrapped in clothing in front of her stomach to appear as a baby bump. Repeating the process again the next day in a Sydney airport bathroom before catching her flight.

Apparently, she got caught right before making her way onto the plane.

She told Fox 2 Detroit, “Would you believe a minute after I’d scanned my ticket and was walking down the gangway to the plane, I dropped my ticket, [leaned] to pick it up and [a] laptop poked out of my jacket. I got 100 percent busted.”

Would you try it?
