Watch this heart pounding moment a Kentucky guest services representative took charge of a gun-wielding robber.
You can see on the CCTV footage the masked gunman enter the Country Inn and Suites hotel in Paducah, KY. The man can be seen brandishing his gun and attempting to slide over the front desk, before the representative pushes him off the counter.
He then uses the weapon to demand her co-operation, at which point she empties out the cash register. But while he scrambles to shove the cash into a bag, he leaves his gun to one side. Super smart…
Thinking quickly the representative grabs the pistol and points it at him, sending the thief running.
Police in Paducah shared the footage on their Facebook page, saying 26-year-old suspect Cory Phillips had been arrested following the incident on Monday.

Along with the clip, the force wrote Phillips had been caught thanks to a routine traffic stop the following afternoon. It explained that as the suspect fled the hotel, he cast aside the clothes he was wearing, leaving a trail of evidence. Again…super smart.
Meanwhile, a computer search revealed the gun he had used in his attempted robbery had been stolen from a home on a nearby street days before.
He is now being held at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
