Just days after she got engaged to her boyfriend Chris Marek, “Little People Big World” star Amy Roloff is in mourning following the death of her beloved mother, 86 year-old Patricia Knight.
“I am so sad about my mom’s passing but comforted by all the memories I have and that she lived a happy, long life with my father,” Amy said in a brief statement. “She was a great mom. Thank you for all the condolences and well wishes. Life is a gift, appreciate the moments in each day.”

Though the specific details of Patricia’s death are not known at this time, it has been confirmed that her grieving family will be celebrating her memory at a local Michigan funeral home on October 24.
Though Amy has not addressed her mother’s death on social media, she hinted at it in a post to Instagram on Monday.
“It’s been a tough week after hearing sad news,” she wrote. “But these two – my grand kids Jackson and Ember – always make me smile and melt my heart. ?❤️. Simply, Love them so much. #grandkids #imthankful #imblessed #amyroloffssecondact love being a grandma!”
Amy had revealed to her fans months ago that Patricia was not doing well and that she would be returning to her home state of Michigan to spend time with her family.
“From Souix Falls SD to Going ‘home’ to see my parents,” she wrote. “My mom isn’t doing so well and I need to see them. Every moment is precious the older I get and the older they get. ❤️ Like the old days, I’m going to make dinner for them. This Michigan girl is coming home.”
This comes after Amy revealed that Chris, her boyfriend of three years, proposed to her on September 18. She did not hesitate to say yes and agree to marry him.
“I’m excited, I’m so surprised, I’m thrilled,” she said at the time. “I never in a million years thought I’d be getting married again, but I also hoped for it! Now that it’s happening, I couldn’t be happier or more excited.”
Please keep Amy and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
