When Michael Todd recently started his freshman year at MLK Prep in Memphis, Tennessee, things sadly did not go very well for him at first. Michael was wearing the same clothes every day, and when his classmates noticed this, they began to mock him.

“I really don’t have clothes at home,” Michael lamented. “My mom can’t buy clothes for me because I’m growing too fast.”

For three weeks straight, Michael endured taunting and teasing at the hands of his classmates. Just when he was losing all hope of the abuse ever ending, MLK Prep football player Kristopher Graham stepped in to help him. When Kristopher saw that Michael was still being bullied for his clothes, he knew he had to do something, so he took action.

“When I saw people laugh and bully him, I felt like I needed to do something,” Kristopher said.

Kristopher texted his friend and teammate Antwan for help, and the two of them proceeded to come up with a secret plan.

In the video below this story, you’ll see Michael get taken out of third period as he’s told to walk into the hallway. As soon as he sees Kristopher and Antwan, Michael freezes with nervousness, unsure of his classmates’ motive. However, the boys have a very different surprise for Michael that leaves him crying happy tears!

It turns out that Kristopher and Antwan had gone through their own closets and donated some of their clothing and shoes to Michael, who could not believe their generosity! Both of them now hope their actions will inspire others to help out bullied kids.
