How many of us have secretly fantasize about playing the piano like the great Chopin or Beethoven? Imagine the hoards of adoring admirers as you play exquisitely every key of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 32 in C minor, Op. 111. The audience is enraptured, moved to tears, wowed by your precise and intuitive piano playing…the applause is deafening.

Who are we kidding though? Really, for most people, being able to play the piano well is far-fetched. Yes, we may have had those 30 minute piano lessons with a retired school music teacher once a week as a kid but into the 5th lesson, boredom took over and the rest is history.

Now, perhaps, if we as kids were given a massive, floor piano to jump and practice on, we might have gone further in developing our piano skills! Which leads us to this fun and amazing display of piano artistry by two Italian performance artists.

Italian couple, Silvia Zotto and Leo Moreno are part of the group Il Grande Piano in Italy. They are notorious for bringing their street performances to cities all over the country, delighting unsuspecting crowds with their lighthearted style of playing the ginormous, portable floor piano.

As you can see, crowds gathered around the delightful pair as they did their one-of-a-kind rendition of the “Pink Panther” theme. Piano lessons anyone? I’m in – are you?!
