As horrible as it is, dog fighting is still a popular, heinous sport for some people. They take innocent animals that only want to love and cuddle and force them to fight until one of them is dead. It’s absolutely atrocious to even think about for most of us. That is exactly what was happening to Finn, a pitbull who just happened to be lucky enough to get rescued before it was too late.

Finn was part of a dog fighting ring known as “the 367” for the amount of dogs that had been rescued from the multi-state ring. Finn was distrustful and scared of humans. Understandably so because he had only known humans to be mean and abusive.

Luckily for Finn, his rescuers understood where he had come from and they were patient with him. They worked each day to prove to him that he could trust him and that they only wanted to love him and make him happy.

Little by little, Finn learned to trust the people that he’d come to know that were loving and caring towards him. He learned that they weren’t there to hurt him like the people he had been around before.

The hilarious reaction Finn has to finally being comfortable enough to accept a treat from one of his rescuers is amazing to watch. The worker offers Finn a piece of pizza crust and he happily accepts, but what happens as soon as he takes it is unreal!

Finn grabs the crust and suddenly comes down with a case of the “zoomies.” Although most common in puppies and young dogs, it can happen in dogs of any age. Zoomies happen when a dog gets a sudden burst of happy, excited energy.

In this case, Finn gets a zoomie because he’s happy to finally trust someone enough to get a treat and it’s an experience he’s never had before. He literally bounces off the walls with excitement. You have to see it for yourself.
