Those of us who were around in the 1980s fondly remember the classic 1987 film The Lost Boys. Now, it’s been revealed that a reboot of The Lost Boys is in the works that will bring the movie to an entirely new generation!
The original film starred Keifer Sutherland, and it propelled him into the household name that he continues to be today. It also introduced the world to the friendship of Corey Feldman and Corey Haim, which turned out to be one of the most tragic tales in Hollywood.

In addition, the original movie helped to launch the career of Joel Schumacher, who went on to make numerous Hollywood blockbusters including two Batman movies and Phantom of The Opera. Despite the success of The Lost Boys, it was never given a proper sequel. Back in 2008, an attempt at a sequel was made with The Lost Boys: The Tribe, but this subpar sequel was quickly forgotten.
Now, however, fans are ecstatic after The CW network announced that they are bringing back The Lost Boys in television form. To bring the television show to life, the network has enlisted the help of Rob Thomas, who is best known for his work on “Veronica Mars.”
The plan for a television version of The Lost Boys first came about in 2016, but it took three years for a network to finally order a pilot to be made. Many other reboots of classic shows and movies have been announced recently, and we can’t wait to see what this one looks like!
