A Texas elementary school art teacher has found herself becoming a viral sensation after her daughter posted images online showing her wearing a dress featuring her students’ drawings.
Rebecca Bonner is a teacher at Mcauliffe Elementary School in Highland Village, and she became an internet star after her 20 year-old daughter Charlece Lake posted the photos to Twitter.
“My mom is the cutest art teacher ever!” Charlene wrote. “She made a dress and had every one of her students draw one thing on the dress for her to wear. This was her at her student’s art show tonight. I’M SOBBING.”

The first photo shows Rebecca standing in her yard showing off the dress, which prominently features her students’ artwork. In the second photo, she can be seen wearing the dress while attending her students’ art show.
“Best night ever!” Rebecca tweeted afterwards. “I love displaying all the artwork for the District Art Show and having my daughter home from college and attend the show was the BEST!'”
The photos have quickly gone viral, with people all over the country praising Rebecca.
“Your mom is a national treasure and must be protected at all costs,” one person tweeted. “My art teacher is why I fell in love with the arts. Your mom is doing wonderful, I hope she knows how amazing she truly is.”
“That’s so inspiring!” another social media user added. “Like you can tell she loves what she’s doing and cares about her students! Wow!”
Rebecca is quite shocked by her internet stardom, but she is hoping her story will help to promote art in schools.
“I’m not worried about being famous or anything like that but I do think it’s great to promote the arts, because elementary art is not everywhere,” she said. “I think it’s really important for kids to have that outlet, to have that place to create, and that freedom to create.”
