Riley Baxter is a 4 year-old boy with Down syndrome who has earned the nickname “Smiley Riley” as well as legions of fans after he scored a modeling contract.

Riley is from Rochester, United Kingdom and he has never let his disability hold him back from achieving anything in life. His positive attitude is encouraging others to make their dreams come true as well!

Riley has earned international fame after becoming the face of Mothercare Ad, and his family could not be more proud of him.

“We have called him ‘Smiley Riley’ from a young age, because he makes people really happy and seeing his smile gives people a pick-me-up on a bad day,” said his father Stuart Baxter.

The Baxter family has had their fair share of struggles, especially with financial hardships. Riley has helped them to maintain a positive outlook on life. His parents had a difficult time when they heard that Riley had Down syndrome, but not for the reason that some would expect.

“After we were told he had Down Syndrome I cried, not for the case that I would love him any less but just knowing how cruel the world can be,” Stuart said. “That was the first thing that went through my mind but obviously my perceptions were wrong, and wow how wrong I was.”
