Sharon and Brandon are a mother and son duo who have been through quite a lot in life. Instead of letting this get them down, they have used their tragedies as motivation to find success on “Ireland’s Got Talent.”

When the judges asked the two about their story, Sharon recounted the moment that doctors called her to say that Brandon was in the hospital in very bad condition. Describing it as “every parent’s worst nightmare,” Sharon remembered her confusion as doctors told her that she had to say goodbye to her son.

The two had been singing together ever since Brandon learned how to talk, and Sharon feared that she would never have the chance to sing with him again. When he was in the hospital, Sharon would go and sing with him and beg him to wake up. She would also pray, and finally, her prayers were answered in a big way.

Brandon did end up waking up and making a full recovery. When he took the stage with his mother to audition for this show, they blew the judges away with their talent! They hit each note perfectly, and the performance was so emotional that they both had tears in their eyes. They ended the song with an emotional hug.

The mother and son were so good that they earned a Golden Buzzer from the judges, sending them right through to the finals!

“I’m here for a reason. I just think music is that reason,” Brandon said. “It gives me the motivation to get up in the morning.”

We can’t wait to see how far this duo will go in the future!
