In October of 2017, 59 people were killed and over 500 were injured in the devastating mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest country music concert in Las Vegas. That horrific night, Justin Uhart, 27, saved the life of Jan Lambourne, and he was just reunited with her on live television after winning $120,000 on “Deal Or No Deal.”

On the night of the shooting, Justin was working nearby the festival as a bartender when he heard gunshots and ran outside to see what was happening. He stopped in his tracks when he saw Jan get hit and proceeded to carry her to safety.

“I saw her on the ground and she was looking for help and I don’t know why but I stopped,” Justin recalled in footage shown on “Deal Or No Deal.” “I saw the wound and I saw the blood and I just stopped it as best I could.”

Justin stayed with Jan and kept her calm while they waited for help to arrive by talking to her about her cats. As he talked about her on “Deal Or No Deal,” he was stunned to see her walk onset, and he immediately ran right to her! Both of them shared an emotional hug on the live show.

“I was just caught up in the moment. I can’t believe I cried on TV,” Justin said after the show. “Jan now to me is like your favorite aunt. You don’t see her all the time but you always stay in touch and when you do get to see her it’s a big exciting time.”

The two now talk every day and share a powerful bond with one another.

“If it wasn’t for him, I would not be here,” Jan said. “This is a bravest, kind-hearted young man you’ll ever meet. I’m so grateful to be able to be here for him today. This is my hero.”

Justin called his time on “Deal Or No Deal” the “experience of a lifetime” and added that he plans to use his winnings to buy a home, start a CBD business, and travel a bit. We’re so glad that this hero won big!
