All babies deserve to have parents who love, care for, and support them. Sadly, some children are not born with loving parents and end up being abandoned at a young age.
This is exactly what tragically happened to a baby girl who was found abandoned on the side of a rural California road recently. When she was found, the infant’s umbilical cord was still attached, and she had barely anything to protect her from the frigid cold.

Aurelio Fuentes Jr. was working his normal route as a newspaper deliveryman around Madera County in Fresno at around 4:30am at first when he saw a “bright white thing” off the road. He thought it was an animal at first, and it was only when he heard crying that he realized that it was a human infant.
Aurelio immediately called 911 as he inspected the infant, noticing that she was only wearing a soiled onesie. He had no idea how long she had been out there, but he knew she needed help immediately.

The little girl was rushed to Valley Children’s hospital, and doctors there are expecting her to make a full recovery. We can’t imagine what type of mother would abandon her child on the side of the road in this way, and we hope that this little girl goes on to find the loving forever home that she deserves.

Though this little girl had a difficult start in life, she has already shown the world that she is a survivor. Please join us in saying a prayer for this child.
