The music of country music legend Johnny Cash is notoriously difficult to sing, so when this second grader said that he sounded just like the singer, the audience could be forgiven for having their doubts. As soon as the boy began to sing, however, the audience was stunned to find that he really did sound just like Cash!

The little boy took the stage with his guitar strapped to him and introduced himself as “Little John” before telling the audience the two songs that he would be singing. The crowd could not have imagined that the were about to be treated to such an incredible performance!

Singing Cash’s songs comes so naturally to this young boy that it almost seems like it is what he was meant to be doing. His warm tone and stunning voice completely transfixed the audience and left them hanging on his every word, much like Cash did when he performed. This kid may only be eight years old, but he really does have the singing abilities of someone far beyond his years. It’s clear that he has a lengthy career in music ahead of him should he choose to pursue it!

This video also serves as a reminder to never judge a book by it’s cover. It may look like a little boy like this could not handle a Cash song, but he shows that not only can he handle it, he can blow the tunes right out of the water!
