The song “Shallow” has already become one of the most popular songs of the year after it was featured in the blockbuster hit movie A Star Is Born. The song beautifully showcases the bond between the characters played by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in their movies, and people everywhere can’t get the tune out of their heads.

During a recent concert, Kelly Clarkson decided to put her own spin on the show, much to the surprise of her fans. Before she sang it, Kelly opened up about the bond she has with Lady Gaga.

“I know there’s always a lot of competition with other artists in the industry, but there’s a lot of us that just dig each other and we really get inspired by each other,” she said.

“This chick is amazing. We’re really different, but at the same time we’re really similar in the fact that she just loves music and that’s why she’s doing what she’s doing,” Kelly continued. “This song, I love it. We’re gonna do our version of it, because obviously I don’t have a Bradley Cooper here. So I’m just holdin’ it down.”

If you’ve ever heard Kelly perform, you know that she did a whole lot more than just “hold it down.” Instead, she brought the house down with her cover of the song!

The chorus of the song perfectly fits Kelly’s powerful voice, and she belts out the words of the tune effortlessly. Her rendition of the song really does give it a haunting new feel the likes of which you have not heard before.
