As ordering products online has become more and more common in recent years, there has been an unfortunate increase in package thieves who swipe boxes from people’s doorsteps after they delivered. That’s why it’s so satisfying that a video is now going viral showing a Labrador give one of those thieves the dose of justice that he deserves.

Whitney Cahoon lives in Ogden, Utah with her family, and since her street is busy, she assumed that package thieves would not target her. Unfortunately for her, however, she ended up being wrong about this.

“People have been trying to steal packages, they’ve caught them on camera, but never here,” she said. “We’re on a pretty busy street, I didn’t think that anybody would ever dare attempt that.”

Whitney’s doorbell camera recently captured a man walking up to her porch and stealing an Ikea box before running back to his car. Before he can drive away, Whitney’s 9 year-old Labrador Zero comes running into the frame. Whitney said that Zero is usually afraid of everything, even plastic bags, so she was stunned that he went after the thief.

“Just a lab that’s scared of everyone and everything,” laughed Zero’s owner, Whitney said. “I mean dusters, plastic bags, the cats… he’s terrified of the cats.”

Though Zero is usually scared, he shows no fear at all in the video below as runs right for the thief. It looks like Zero is not such a scaredy cat after all!

“I’m hoping that they word spread from them not to mess with us,” Whitney said.

We applaud Zero for being brave enough to go after this thief!
