Flight delays are incredibly bothersome, as few things are more annoying than being stuck in an airport for hours on end.

During a recent six hour flight delay at the airport in Dallas, Texas, passengers were getting more and more grumpy as the hours wore on. Just when it seemed like tensions were about to spill over, a dance group stepped in to lighten the mood in a big way.

The Funkywunks are a hip hop dance troupe based in Orlando, Florida and made up of dancers aged 17-28. The group travels all over the country competing in dance competitions, and they were named as the U.S. All Star Federation champions in 2015 and in 2018. The dance group also competed on the reality television competition “World Of Dance.”

When the dance group found themselves stuck in the Dallas airport for hours, they decided to lift the spirits of their grumpy passengers with an epic performance.

The group started blasting the extended dance version of Bruno Mars’ song “Uptown Funk” and proceeded to show the airport the routine that they had been working on for months.

Travelers from all over the airport stopped dead in their tracks to watch the impromptu performance unfold.

The Funkwunks shared video of their performance on their Facebook page along with the caption, “Delayed Flight ✈️ for 6 hours in Dallas. Many angry ? & tired passengers. Soooo Funkywunks sprung into action to do what we do BEST!!! Entertain and put smiles back on their faces ?!”

We applaud these dancers for adding a little joy to a difficult travel day for their fellow passengers! Check out their performance below!
