Whether you’re traveling for leisure or for work, both can be stressful. Both types of travel requires planning, budgeting, securing accommodations, and the list goes on. One way to make it less stressful is knowing how to pack which can help you to save time but also money especially now that certain airlines charge fees for checked baggage.

Since flight attendants travel all the time, nobody knows how to pack better than these professionals do. We’ve compiled five of the best flight attendant packing hacks that we could find on the internet.

Fold All Your Clothes Into A One Big Neat Bundle

If your clothes are bursting out of the suitcase, you’re doing it wrong. To be more efficient, you should fold each of your clothes into little cubes to make them fit.

Shirts and Underwear Can Be Rolled and Stuffed Into Socks

One shirt and a pair of underwear take up the space of a pair of socks when they are folded. If you fold a pair of socks over them, they’ll stay neatly packed while you travel.

Put Jewelry in a Pill Reminder

We suggest storing your fashion jewelry in pill boxes to keep them from either getting damaged or tangled. Any fine jewelry you have, we suggest you either leave it at home in a safe place or wear it on you. Never pack your valuables if you’re planning to check your bags at the airport.

Jeans Can Seal Themselves Up

Begin by folding out the waist of a pair of jeans, then fold the legs over each other. Once you have done this, roll up the legs over one end of the fold and unfold the other half.

Pack Your Shoes in Shower Caps

There’s no denying that shoes are dirty. We can wipe them and try to keep them as clean as possible but it’s likely still full germs. To pack them without contaminating all your clean clothes, try storing your shoes in a shower cap!
