Billy Joel may be one of the most famous singer-songwriters of his time, which makes it understandable that he would have so many fans around the world. Many of those fans go on to not just listen to his music, but to cover it as well.

Jared Halley is one of those fans. He is a musician and producer from Ohio and is a huge fan of Billy Joel. So much so that he recently put together quite a compilation of his favorite Billy Joel songs. Although Jared has a knack for making some creative YouTube content, this one might take the cake. He covers not just one of Billy Joel’s hit songs, but a whopping 19!

What makes it even more amazing is that he does it all without instruments. When you look at the video below you will realize that something looks a bit odd too. Instead of there just being one Jared, there are actually five, but each of them plays a role.

As you’ll see, some of the Jareds sing bass, some a little tenor, and some are there to produce the instrument sounds and beat. It all seems like a normal a capella group until you realize they’re all the same guy!

Jared starts the video with “Uptown Girl” and switches right into “You May Be Right.” Also included in the line up are hit songs “Lullabye” and “Piano Man.”

If you know much about Billy Joel, you know that this song is very special to him because it highlights his real-life experiences of working as a lounge musician in L.A.

While Jared’s performance may be a bit non-traditional, it is likely that Billy Joel himself would be proud. The video has garnered thousands of views and shares, so be sure to check it out and share it with your family and friends.
