Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are preparing for the birth of their first child in April. In preparation for the birth, they have moved into a larger home so that Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland can move in and become a “live-in” nanny.

The royal couple left their home at Kensington Palace at the end of 2018 in favor of moving into Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle. Doria, who just moved to the United Kingdom from her home in Los Angeles, is there with the couple so that she can be a hands-on grandmother.

A royal source said that Harry and Meghan chose to live at the Windsor estate because “it means a huge amount to them – it is where they got married.”

Doria, 62, was the only member of Meghan’s family to attend her May wedding to Harry. A longtime social worker in the Los Angeles area, Doria retired upon moving to the United Kingdom, as she is ready to play a large role in helping Meghan and Harry raise their child.

This comes after Meghan let it slip to well-wishers that she is due at the end of April or beginning of May.

“She said she is six months pregnant and due at the end of April, beginning of May,” one local said. “Another woman in the crowd joked that she was a trained midwife. Meghan said that one of her friends had [given birth] five weeks early and [the midwife] said the baby comes when they are ready. I said, as long as they are healthy, and Meghan agreed. Then she said, pointing to Harry, ‘He’s going to make a fantastic father.'”

We wish Meghan the best of luck as she enters the final months of her pregnancy!
