Every girl dreams of the day she will one day walk down the aisle. When the big day finally comes every part of the day is planned down to the very tiniest detail.

We make sure that there are beautiful flowers, plenty of seating, a stunning wedding cake, and of course, the most gorgeous and perfect dress that we could have ever imagined. When it comes to wedding dresses, the varieties are endless. From traditional white gowns to beautiful colors and slim fitting to full and flowing, there is a gown for everyone.

But there is one dress that was recently designed that has everyone on the internet drooling. While it may look like many other wedding gowns you have seen, there is something very special about this one. Can you tell what it is?

This particular gown was designed and created by Emma Jayne Cake Design. Instead of having the traditional cake and wedding gown, she decided to kill two birds with one stone. Not only does this wedding dress look fabulous, it tastes delicious too. If you ever wanted an edible wedding dress, now you’re in luck. But don’t order your cake dress quite yet.

Emma Jayne Morris is the mastermind behind this dress. She took her inspiration from Filipino fashion designer Mak Tumang’s gown “Angela.” Typically, making a copycat dress is illegal, but this one is an exception.

This gown wouldn’t fit most women, for starters. It is approximately six feet tall. Plus, it’s really not very wearable anyway. Can you imagine what would happen to all of that icing combined with the heat of the human body?

This dress also weighs a lot more than you might expect. A whopping 132 pounds of fondant were used to create the dress and an additional 110 pounds of modeling paste went in to making the flowers.

It took Emma Jayne some 10 days to make the dress, which she created inside her home. It was the only space that the dress would be able to be moved out of when it was finished because the doors were wide enough to accommodate its size.

The dress was so large and heavy it took a group of six people to get it over the top of the gate outside. The dress was originally created as edible art to show off at London’s Cake International trade show.

She was the only designer asked to make a life-size gown for the show. Designer of the original dress, Tumang, actually made an appearance at the show and posed for pics next to the gown with Emma Jayne.

He’s also not upset that she is now making headlines for copycatting his dress. After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And to be honest, it’s not likely that this gown is ever going to make it on a real bride.

The gown is a muted bluish grey in color, but the details on the gown are absolutely impeccable. The 3-D applique petals of the flowers are one of the first things to catch everyone’s attention and it’s easy to see why.

The flowers are soft pink in color and are delicate and beautiful. Of course, like every wedding gown, this cake dress needed a bit of bling too, so it is sprinkled with opal and Preciosa crystal details.

What do you think? Have you ever seen a wedding dress so beautiful, yet so delicious too. Even if this cake never actually gets eaten, it is still a one of a kind beauty. Be sure to share this story with your family and friends. It’s not every day you get to see something like this.
