Chris Farley might have been one of the most hilarious comedians of all time, which makes it even harder to believe that he’s been gone for 21 years now. He had a larger than life personality that leaves a hole in society still today. While most of us know him from the many characters he played on Saturday Night Live, his good friends knew who he really was.
Adam Sandler is one of those friends. He appeared on SNL at the same time as Farley and the two became good friends. Both of them had quite the careers and Sandler is still making people laugh today.
Recently, Sandler has stepped away from the movies a bit and went back to his roots performing stand up comedy acts. It was at one of those stand up routines that he decided to pay tribute to his old SNL friend. Normally when Sandler pulls out his guitar, you get a silly song, but this one took the crowd by surprise. While it gets a few chuckles, the sentiment behind it really hits home.

The song seems to travel from the beginning when Sandler and Farley first met. In the background are shots of Farley in the various roles he played as well as some real life get togethers with his friends.
The pictures displayed show Farley as a child, partying the night up as an adult, performing together with Sandler, and getting in some father-son time with his dad. The world came crashing down not long after Sandler and Farley had their last big get together at the wedding of their friend, Tim Meadows. They had no idea that would be their last time together.
Sandler says that Farley died a legend just like he wanted to be, but he says he wishes Farley was still here because imagine how much fun they would have filming Grownups 3.
Check out the heartwarming tribute in the video below and be sure to share it with your family and friends. It is the perfect combination of sentimental and funny.
