Cleaning your oven is one of the most annoying household chores that there is, and it can take hours to strip this household appliance of grease. That’s why so many people are excited right now that a hack is going viral that will help you clean your oven in no time!

This hack was thought up by a group of Australian mothers, and all you need for it is a dishwasher tablet, aluminium foil and a bathtub filled with hot water. While the hack takes two hours to complete, you don’t actually have to do any work while it’s taking place. All you need to do is sit back and relax!

First, pull each oven rack out and wrap them each in aluminum foil. Once you have done this, fill up your bathtub with hot water and put the foil-wrapped oven parts under the water.

“I ran the bath (hot water only),” said one of the women behind the hack. “I wrapped the racks in foil then submerged them in the bath.”

After you’ve done this, the rest of the process is very easy.

“Simply place a dishwashing tablet on top of the wrapped racks. Then I leave them alone for two hours,” the woman explained. “I went back and while leaning over the bath, I wiped the racks with magic eraser. No elbow grease or much effort at all.”

One woman said that she decided to leave the racks to soak for more than two hours because they were especially dirty.

“Left mine for 3.5 hours with Fairy tablet and bicarb,” she said. “This is years of grime. They have never been this clean.”
