Bus driver Wayne Price had already picked up most of the students on his bus route and was working his way toward Montevallo Elementary School when the school made a special announcement. Due to the icy condition of the roads, the Alabama school opening had been delayed. This meant that staff wouldn’t be able to serve the kids breakfast that morning.

Price wasn’t about to let his kids go hungry, so he stopped at McDonald’s and purchased 50 breakfast sandwiches for the little ones on his bus. This is a man that truly understands the meaning of Christmas.

The school created a Facebook post to highlight the good deed done by their bus driver and recounted the story of what a generous man he had been. He truly cared for his students.

 

Price was immediately praised on social media for his kindness and local news outlets, but according to many of the social media comments, this isn’t really a surprise. Price is known for having a generous heart.

Derek Wilson, one of the Facebook commenters said, “In the almost 20 years of knowing him, I’ve seen this man give so much of himself to the community. I’ve experienced first hand the hope and guidance he brings to people who may not find it anywhere else.”

Price, on the other hand, doesn’t think much of his actions. He says it was nothing more than taking his family out to dinner. “We get caught in the materialistic things, even buying biscuits to a certain element is a little materialistic, but Christmas is giving. Christmas is showing love,” he said with a smile.
