Becki and Phil Crook thought their baby boy would be born perfect. Becki’s pregnancy had been healthy and normal, and the family, including their daughter Eden, anxiously awaited the new arrival.

But when the time came for the baby to be born, the labor came hard and fast. They didn’t have time to get Becki to the hospital and she was forced to deliver her son at their home in England. That’s when they realized something was terribly wrong. Instead of looking healthy, Kaleb appeared pale, floppy, and wasn’t breathing. He was rushed to the hospital and put on life support.

Doctors informed Becki and Phil that somehow Kaleb had suffered from severe oxygen starvation. He had minimal brain activity and he wouldn’t have a good future if they left him on life support. His family was devastated and moved him to hospice care with the intent to turn off the life support. They were told he’d only live a few minutes after the life support was removed.

But God had other plans in store for Kaleb and the family. When doctors removed Kaleb’s life support, he didn’t die like they had expected. Instead, he squeezed Becki’s finger and looked up at her.

She says it was as if he was telling her everything was going to be okay. Kaleb spent the holidays fighting and getting stronger, and although Kaleb does have special needs as a result of the brain damage, the family is glad to still have him a year later.

Kaleb is now 15-months-old and is going to spend Christmas at home this year with his family. Becki says they are excited to have this as their new normal and will celebrate the holiday in whatever capacity Kaleb is able to.

No one but God knows how much longer Kaleb will be on this earth, but his family is sure that He has a purpose for Kaleb. His family says he is truly a miracle and has astounded everyone.

Be sure to share this miraculous story of this amazing little boy with your family and friends.
