When Marcelito Pomoy steps onto the stage, the Filipino singer looks like any ordinary man, but the melodies that come out of his mouth are anything but ordinary. The 33-year-old singer amazes listeners with his unusual talent.
Pomony was abandoned by his mother at a young age, and his father was incarcerated. Eventually he was adopted by a local police officer and his family who gave him a more normal upbringing. He took on several odd jobs while growing up, one at a nearby poultry shop.
While working at the shop, he discovered he had an unusual talent. He could sing in both tenor voices and soprano. Using his unique abilities, Pomoy competed in both amateur and professional contests.

He competed in the second season of Pilipinas Got Talent. During his time on the show, he was able to reunite with his biological family and discovered he had several sisters and brothers.
In the video below, you will be amazed at the unusual singing abilities of Pomoy. He sings the popular and uplifting song, “The Prayer” by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. His beautiful soprano notes sound so much like Dion you can hardly tell it’s not her. And his deep tenor notes and Italian accent sound just like Bocelli has joined Pomoy for the duet himself.
Pomoy released his first studio album in 2011 titled “Duet Yourself” through Star Records. You won’t want to miss the sounds and talent of this very gifted and unique performer.
