Jennifer DeLuca and Ben Morris live on opposite ends of the country but still enjoy competing in swing dancing competitions together and they’re pretty darn good at it too.

Swing dancing began in the 1920’s when Big Bands were a hit, but the dancing trend faded away over the years. Now it is making a comeback and the duo performed the routine in the video below at the Capital Swing Dancers’ Presidents’ Day convention in California.

This style of dancing usually involves lifts, spins, and flips, but Jennifer and Ben put a new spin on an old dance routine. The crowd seemed to welcome the new style with enthusiasm. As the dancing duo started moving to the beat, the crowd cheered them on even more. It seems instead of being booed for changing things up, the couple’s  creative dancing style earned major points with the audience.

Jennifer appeared on the stage in black slacks and a top that revealed a lot of her front and back sides, a far cry from the floral A-line dresses that are typical of costumes for this dance. Ben was dressed more conservatively.

The two dance flawlessly to a bluesy George Thorogood tune and their performance is mind boggling. Check out the video below to see them twisting the night away and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
