Actress Candace Cameron Bure has never hid her Christian faith. In fact, she’s openly talked about it and even displayed it regularly in the clothing she wears. She uses her fame to share God’s love. However, it hasn’t always been easy for her. She used to be a former co-host on The View and she says she is happy to be off the show and discuss lighter topics.

She says her faith has cost her jobs over the time of her career and she’s faced discrimination more than once. She recently appeared on The Wendy Williams Show where she opened up about the struggles she has faced in Hollywood due to her faith.

Candace admits that at least a hand full of times she would get booked for something and just a few days before they would cancel her. She says it is because the bookers would realize who she was and decide they didn’t want her at the event due to her faith.

Even though it has cost her a handful of jobs, Candace has never backed away from her faith and has continued to share her religious beliefs. In fact, she had become more and more open about it.

She says it has been a conscious decision to be a family-friendly actress. “I’ve chosen to be in family entertainment. That has been a very intentional decision on my part. I’ve always wanted to do family entertainment. I’ve never wanted to go down a dark road even as an actress,” she says.

Today, Candace plays a widow and single mother of three boys on the television show Fuller House, a spin off from her younger days on the television sitcom Full House. She also routinely appears in Hallmark movies and says she is happier now than she has ever been. Although she has faced discrimination over the years, she says it has become a part of her now and so people don’t think much about it anymore.
