One of a woman’s worst nightmares is traveling down the road with a car full of kids when all of a sudden, the car decides it’s not going to run any more. That is exactly what happened to one Alabama mom. What happened next is absolutely amazing. From her Facebook post, Autumn Snyder says an Alabama state trooper stopped to assist her, and although she expected him to help by diverting traffic, she never expected him to do what he did.

Autumn says she was on her way home but still two hours from her house while traveling down the interstate with her three kids. Her newborn was hungry and that’s when the car broke down. She says she was afraid to get the baby out of the car seat because she wanted him to be safe in the event they got hit. She called dispatch and AAA and that’s when the trooper showed up to help.

Although the trooper did divert traffic away from the lane she was in, he did much more than that. He loaded her and the kids into his car and got them off of the highway by taking them to a nearby rest stop. Her husband Sean stayed with the car to wait for a tow truck.

At the rest stop, he checked the bathroom for “boogieman” so that her daughter would use the restroom, and he shot illuminating helicopter lights into the sky to entertain the kids while Autumn made phone calls to try to get home.

The baby got fussy when she was trying to keep track of the other children, but the state trooper didn’t hesitate to pick the baby up from his car seat and feed him the bottle that Autumn had prepared. She says it seemed like the trooper knew exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to do it when it came to helping her with the kids. But the help didn’t stop there.

He helped the family unload all of their belongings into his car and took them to a nearby hotel. He also helped them unload all of their belongings and haul them into the hotel room. He gave the girls a big hug and gave them his number in case they needed anything else.
