Little girls dream from a very young age about what it will be like to walk down the aisle on their wedding day. However, for one woman, the thought of walking down the aisle seemed to be more of a dream than she’d ever be able to accomplish.
Jennifer Darmon suffered a spinal injury after being in an accident in a van that left her pinned inside and fighting for her life. She was finally freed from the van and rushed to the hospital, but her journey was just beginning.
At the hospital, doctors discovered that she had suffered a spinal injury and was paralyzed from the waist down. Her family broke the news to Jennifer but never anticipated the response she would have. Instead of giving up on life, she decided to take matters in to her own hands. She agreed to grueling physical therapy and refused to give up on the possibility of walking down the aisle some day.

Her fiance, Mike Belawetz, was right by her side all the way. Jennifer told him that he didn’t have to stay with her if he thought it was too much, but he told her he was going to make her his bride no matter the outcome of her situation.
After each surgery, therapy session, and hard day, Mike continued to encourage and love Jennifer. His encouragement only helped Jennifer even more. She even did some of her therapy sessions in a borrowed wedding gown to get ready for the big day.
So when the big day arrived, her family and friends couldn’t wait to see how the ceremony would take place. Check out the amazing outcome of Jennifer’s hard work in the video below and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
