When Kendra Powell left to go to her job at Walmart, she had no idea what the day had in store for her. The last thing she expected to happen that morning was have a state trooper clean her car windows.

As Powell was driving to work she saw the patrol car of a Georgia State Trooper stopped along the side of the highway with the lid of his trunk popped open. She couldn’t see the officer anywhere. Concerned for his well-being, she creeped by at a snails pace then pulled over to check on him. With her hands on the wheel where he could see them, Powell finally saw the officer.

The white cop walked up to the black woman’s car and she asked him if he was ok. He informed her that he was just cleaning his windows and showed her a rag and bottle of window cleaner. She told him that he was using the best cleaner and wished him a good day.

Before she could leave though, the officer asked if he could clean her car windows for her too. She told him there was no need, but he insisted. He wanted to repay her for the kindness she had shown by stopping to check on him.

As the state trooper was finishing up Powell’s windows, an elderly couple pulled up alongside the highway and asked the state trooper if he’d clean their car windows too. Without hesitation, he went to work on their windows as well.

Powell says she was stunned at the kind actions of the officer. Before the three cars left to go about their daily business, they all came together in prayer. She says it was amazing to see black hands, white hands, old hands, and young hands all together praising the Lord right alongside the highway.

What a blessed way to start the morning! Powell says she was a few minutes late for work, but the start to her morning was worth every minute.
