At 5 and 3 years-old respectively, Prince George and Princess Charlotte are very much looking forward to Christmas! In the past, George has been known to write letters to Santa that are delivered to him by his father Prince William, and Charlotte will undoubtedly be joining him in this tradition this year!
In a very rare interview, Kate Middleton’s mother Carole opened up about her family like never before, and one of the things she talked about was their Christmas traditions. Carole revealed that she loves Christmas so much that she has multiple Christmas trees all over the home, including one in each of her grandchildren’s bedrooms!
Carole explained that each of the children get to decorate their trees however they please. She jokingly said, “that makes me sound as though I live in a mansion, doesn’t it?”
Carole also talked about the different types of trees she uses to decorate the stately Bucklebury Manor, which she shares with her husband Mike. The themes of the trees include a “fashionable” array of ornaments and another tree with more nostalgic, “memory” ornaments that have been passed down through her family for generations.
Carole, who goes by “Granny Middleton” to her grandchildren, added that she loves having the kids help her make tasty and festive treats in the kitchen. She allows them to do things like use their little hands to help stir the ingredients for her!
It’s nice to see that the royal children have a close relationship with their Mom’s side of the family.
